Training Seminars

Forward Scotland held two half-day seminars to introduce and support the new training package.

The seminars were held in April 2006 in both Glasgow and Forres.

The seminars were attended by representatives of Careers Scotland, Jobcentre Plus, Scottish Enterprise Small Business Gateway, Highland Council and Highlands and Islands Enterprise as well as industry representatives, social enterprise representatives and individuals interested in career progression within the sector.

Each seminar consisted of presentations by industry representatives as well as discussion forums where employees and employers within the waste and renewable energy sector answered questions from delegates on their experiences, career path and expectations working within the sectors.

The feedback from the seminars has been extremely positive.
